Institute of Management and Organisational Sciences

The Institute of Management ad Organisational Sciences consists of three departments led by heads of departments. These units are the Department of Management Sciences, the Department of Human Resource Management, and the Department of Organisational Sciences and Communication.

Our responsibilities are to deal with the disciplines of leadership, organization and human resource management, to develop, sustain and improve the curricula of these subjects, and to teach them on different levels of several graduate and postgraduate branches of the University – in Hungarian and in English. Our tasks include the scientific guidance of Human Resource Counselling and Management and Organization master programmes and that of Business Coach and Human Management postgraduate specialist training courses.

We not only teach these theoretical subjects but also have interactive training sessions. We have a research program entitled “Functional Analysis of Management”, applicable for revealing, analysing, investigating the problems of the above mentioned interdisciplinary areas. It also supports the scientific promotion of the researchers, lecturers, PhD students of the departments, and it is also suitable for producing useable results for the business sector.

The Institute carries out its educational and research activities in cooperation with three off-site departments, Lifelong Learning Off-site Department (Szövetség Az Életen Át Tartó Tanulásért, Debrecen), Enterprise Development and Innovation Management Department (Debrecen) and Leadership and Organization Off-site Department (Szinergia Projekt- Működés- és Változásmenedzsment Kft., Budapest).
