The Institute of Management and Organization Sciences has three departments, each led by appointed heads: the Department of Management Science, the Department of Human Resource Management, and the Department of Organisational Sciences and Communication.
The Institute's responsibilities include advancing the disciplines of management, organization, and human resource management, developing, maintaining, and enhancing the curricula for these disciplines, and teaching them at various undergraduate and postgraduate levels at the University of Debrecen (in both Hungarian and English). The Institute is also responsible for overseeing the Human Resource Consulting and the Management and Organization master’s programs and the Business Coach and Human Management specialized training programs.
In addition to the theoretical teaching of the Institute's subjects, it is characterized by interactive, training-oriented practical exercises. Beyond educational tasks, the "Functional Examination of Management" research program is conducted and is suitable for identifying, analyzing, and examining the problems of the above interdisciplinary areas. It also supports the scientific advancement of the departments' researchers, lecturers, and PhD students, and can produce results that the business sector can utilize.
The Institute implements its educational and research activities in cooperation with three affiliated departments: the Lifelong Learning Department (Alliance for Lifelong Learning, Debrecen), the Department of Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Management (Debrecen), and the Department of Management and Organization (Synergy Project- Operation and Change Management Ltd., Budapest).
