The Institute of Accounting and Finance has complex tasks. Our mission is to transfer knowledge to students to become experts with state-of-the-art knowledge in accounting, finance and controlling and being familiar with corporate and institutional practices, and who have the aim and ability for continuous self-development.
The Institute is responsible for teaching accounting, finance, controlling and taxation at all majors within the Faculty. The organizational structure is adapted to the education tasks as follows:

Currently, our teaching portfolio in Hungarian consists of the following programs:

- Finance and accounting, higher-level vocational training (head of the program: Dr. Éva Darabos)
- Sports economics, MSc (head of the program: Prof. Dr. Zoltán Bács)
- Business Administration and Management, BSc and higher-level vocational training (head of the program: Dr. Patrícia Becsky-Nagy) and in English:

The Institute considers networking and close cooperation with the companies and organizations in the region as a crucial task. Key partners are the National Instruments with an off-site department, KITE, Erste Bank, OTP Bank, Deloitte, PwC, Neopac Hungary.
250-300 interns take part in our higher-level vocational trainings and BSc programs annually, cca. 30% of them get a job offer from their place of apprenticeship. During the evaluation processes, students rated the program above 4,3 and the training places above 4,5 (on a scale of 1 to 5).
The Institute publishes regularly in international and Hungarian journals and aims to develop international educational and scientific contacts and partnerships.
The colleagues are involved in the talent management program and in event organization, our students have received prestigious national awards and acknowledgements. Most of the lecturers work in the real-life business world as experts, consultants and auditors, thus enabling them to provide their students with the most recent knowledge and market information.
