Institute of Business Communication and Professional Language Studies

The language training of full-time and correspondence students of the Faculty of Economics and Business is provided by the Institute of Business Communication. The current structure of the institute was established in 2014, when the Faculty of Business Administration and Rural Development and the Faculty of Economics and Business were merged. 
Teaching tasks include offering general and specialised language classes at BA, BSc, MA and MSc level, as well as language classes for students in higher vocational education.

Key objectives of language teaching at our Institute are to provide target-oriented technical and professional language knowledge for our students that meets the requirements of the labour market, thereby increasing their competitiveness and employability and to prepare them for language exams required for graduation.

The Institute of Business Communication and Professional Language Studies is an accredited examination centre for BGE, GazdálKODÓ, TársalKODÓ és Zöld Út language exams. It offers language courses in general English, German and Russian languages in the framework of the training programme approved by the National Office of Vocational Education and Training and Adult Learning. Corresponding the students and local language learning needs, it provides courses specialized on business terminology in English and German.
The unit gives place also for the English-Hungarian technical translation postgraduate specialist training course.
Research area of the lecturers is the technical language education, including topics as aspects of business terminology, intercultural knowledge and competence and methodology of language teaching. The lecturers are active role players in the national and international professional life and carry out science organization and publication activities.
